Data controller and contact

Sara Al-Hadithi, trading as Sonara Studio, is the data controller. Our business address is listed above. For privacy questions or rights requests, email contact@sonarastudio.co.

Information and purposes

We receive your name, email address, service interests, message and any project information you provide when you enquire. We use it to respond, discuss your requirements and prepare a proposal where requested. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For general correspondence, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding and managing our business (Article 6(1)(f)).

Squarespace, our website provider, also processes technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, including IP address, browser and device information and requested pages. Our legal basis for essential operation and security is legitimate interests. Optional analytics cookies rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)); see Cookies below.

Fields marked as required are needed to handle your enquiry. Optional information is voluntary. Without adequate contact details or information about your request, we may be unable to answer. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information or information about others unless necessary and you are entitled to share it.

Enquiries do not subscribe you to marketing. We do not sell personal information or use it for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. If you become a client, further processing needed to perform our agreement or meet legal obligations will apply.

Providers and international processing

We use Squarespace for website hosting and form processing and Google Workspace for business email, together with their relevant subprocessors. These providers process information as needed for their services under applicable data protection arrangements. We may also share information with professional advisers or authorities where needed to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as European Commission standard contractual clauses. You can request details or copies of the applicable safeguards from us. See the Squarespace Data Processing Addendum and Google Workspace Cloud Data Processing Addendum for provider information.

Retention

Enquiry correspondence is kept while needed to respond and manage resulting project discussions. It is then deleted unless retention is necessary for a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, with access restricted as appropriate. Client and accounting records follow applicable legal retention requirements. Cookie lifetimes are listed below.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email contact@sonarastudio.co. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity. You may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or another competent supervisory authority.

We will update this policy if our practices change; the date above shows the latest revision.
